OFSJB (Orthodox Fellowship of St John the Baptist)

The Orthodox Fellowship of St. John the Baptist (OFSJB) was founded in 1979, and works with the blessing of the local Orthodox hierarchs. The Fellowship aims to promote the practice of the Orthodox Christian faith by encouraging contacts among all the members of the Orthodox Churches in Great Britain and Ireland, and those from overseas who express an interest in the events organised. These events are also open to those interested in the Orthodox faith. Members of the Orthodox Church are welcome to join the Fellowship’s mailing list, and receive the biannual journal called Forerunner, by contacting the membership secretary (contact details on the OFSJB website). As well as this, being a member of the Fellowship means that you are eligible for reductions for the events. Events are organised by both the 'main' and 'youth' committees of the Fellowship. The youth branch of the fellowship is the very group whose website you are now viewing!

LOYA (London Orthodox Youth Association)

LOYA is a London based Orthodox society for students and young adults. The group has grown out of the 'Orthodox Fellowship of St John the Baptist (Youth)' which works on a larger scale across Britain. They hold vespers, a shared meal and talk once a month in parishes of central London, and currently meet on the first Tuesday of every month for vespers.

Please feel free to come to any of the events even if you don't know anyone. If there are events happening in your London parishes please advertise, like talks, youth groups etc. The aim is to meet other Orthodox in London and to promote unity and fellowship between the Orthodox youth or those interested in Orthodoxy in the London area.
