The theme of this year's Festival is "Synaxis: The Gathering of the Church." You can look forward to engaging lectures, discussions, prayer and services, fellowship, and incredible memories with friends new and old!

We are excited to say that our main speaker this year will be Fr John Behr. He will be joined by Efstathia Dimoutsou, who has worked for the Orthodox mission in Madagascar, and we will also have a workshop run by Dr Christina Nellist (founder of Pan-Orthodox Concern for Animals). We are also pleased to announce that Fr Gregory Wellington will be joining us again, to serve as the Festival chaplain.

This festival will take place at The Othona Community, East End Road, Bradwell-on-Sea, Essex, CM0 7PN from 12:00pm on Friday 2nd May till around 6:00pm on Monday 5th May 2025.

Prices for the full weekend (includes full board and accommodation) are as follows:

Regular Events

In addition to the annual youth festival, we aim to organise several small events throughout the year. More information about specific events will be shared on the homepage as they draw near. Apart from that, you can also expect some one-off events, for example pilgrimages. If you would like to organise an event like that locally under our banner, please do get in touch with us!

-- Orthodox Youth Festival --

The main event of year, the youth festival is a 3-4 day long gathering of young Orthodox Christians. It usually takes place during the second May bank holiday weekend. You can expect talks by priests, monks and nuns on an interesting topic while you are surrounded by nature. Apart from the talks, there is morning and evening worship, Divine Liturgy on Sunday, walks, games and worshops, all of which you can take part in.

-- Welsh Hike --

We head to the Welsh mountains (Brecon Beacons/Snowdonia) for 2-3 days, staying in a nice mountain cottage and hiking. We typically split into two groups for the day, with an easier and more challenging hike available and then reconvene in the afternoon for some shared time together.

-- Autumn Fellowship --

We meet up for a day, typically in a parish hall in London. There is often a church service, a talk by the resident priest and we share food and socialise. Feel free to bring along a musical instrument if you want! It often takes place in late October or early November.

-- Christmas Fellowship --

Head out with us to the Christmas markets to enjoy some ice-skating and a warm hearty meal afterwards (might include mulled wine). Fuzzy feelings of warmth and friendship are forecasted.

-- Spring Fellowship --

Similarly to the autumn meetup, we get togheter for a day, typically in a parish hall in London. There is often a church service, a talk by the resident priest and we share food and socialise. Feel free to bring along a musical instrument if you want! It often takes place in late March or early April.
